Thomson Medical, a premier provider of healthcare services in Singapore, is seeking a meticulous and driven Assistant Manager, Finance to join our Specialist Clinics division. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the financial health of our specialized medical entities, ensuring precision in reporting, compliance, and strategic financial oversight.
You will work closely with clinical stakeholders and management to provide actionable financial insights that drive operational efficiency. Responsibility
- Oversee full-set accounting and month-end closing processes for multiple specialist clinic entities.
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial reports, and variance analysis for senior management.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely billing and vendor payments.
- Coordinate with auditors and tax agents to ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and accounting standards (FRS).
- Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, monitoring departmental performance against targets.
- Implement and streamline internal financial controls to mitigate operational risks.
- Liaise with non-finance stakeholders within the clinics to resolve financial discrepancies and improve workflow efficiency.
Qualifications
- Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or professional qualification (ACCA/CPA/CA).
- Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in financial accounting or management reporting.
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics).
- Demonstrated ability to handle full-set accounts with minimal supervision.
- Excellent analytical skills with a sharp eye for detail and data accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with clinical and non-clinical staff.
- Prior experience in the healthcare or specialist medical sector is highly preferred.
