Responsibility
- Manage and oversee company secretarial functions for clients across Southeast Asia, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate governance standards.
- Prepare and file statutory documents, including annual returns, board resolutions, and shareholder meeting minutes, in a timely and accurate manner.
- Advise clients on corporate governance best practices, regulatory changes, and compliance requirements specific to the SEA region.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to streamline business processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Support corporate restructuring, mergers, and acquisitions by providing expert guidance on secretarial and compliance matters.
- Maintain and update corporate records, registers, and databases to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior team members to foster professional growth and development.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Law, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ICSA, ACCA) is a plus.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in corporate secretarial roles, with exposure to Southeast Asian markets.
- Strong knowledge of corporate governance, company law, and regulatory compliance in the SEA region.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and corporate secretarial software (e.g., BoardEffect, Diligent).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in managing documentation and statutory filings.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong collaboration with global teams.
- Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin) are advantageous.
