Responsibility
- Assist the Head Barbecue Chef in daily operations of the Chinese Roast Kitchen section
- Prepare and cook authentic Cantonese and Sichuan barbecue dishes according to standardized recipes
- Innovate and develop new barbecue menu items that align with current culinary trends
- Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in accordance with HACCP guidelines
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering specialized Chinese barbecue ingredients
- Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in proper barbecue techniques and presentation
- Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all barbecue dishes
- Collaborate with the F&B team to create seasonal barbecue promotions
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Chinese cuisine, with specific barbecue/roast kitchen experience
- Formal culinary training or certification from a recognized institution
- In-depth knowledge of Cantonese and Sichuan barbecue techniques
- Ability to work in high-pressure kitchen environments during peak service hours
- Excellent knife skills and understanding of meat preparation for barbecue
- Familiarity with HACCP and other food safety regulations
- Strong communication skills in English (additional Chinese language skills a plus)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
