Responsibility
- Assist the Accounting Manager in overseeing daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial statements.
- Prepare and review financial reports, analyses, and reconciliations, providing insights into financial performance.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, collaborating with department heads to ensure financial targets are met.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards (e.g., FRS/IFRS), and local regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax consultants, providing necessary documentation and support during audits and tax filings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA) is a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles (FRS/IFRS), financial reporting, and internal control procedures.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong leadership potential, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with all levels of management and external stakeholders.
