Are you an expert in legacy system modernization and IBM iSeries environments? Quess is seeking a highly skilled AS/400 Developer to join our high-performing technical team in Bonifacio Global City. This is a critical role for a professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is proficient in modernizing RPG applications.
In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining, enhancing, and troubleshooting complex RPG-based systems. We are looking for a candidate who is comfortable working during mid/night shifts to support our global operational requirements. Responsibility
- Develop, test, and maintain robust business applications using RPG IV and Free-form RPG.
- Analyze technical requirements and translate them into efficient, high-performance AS/400 code.
- Perform system debugging, troubleshooting, and optimization of existing legacy processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AS/400 systems with modern web and database technologies.
- Ensure system stability and data integrity through rigorous testing protocols.
- Provide technical documentation for all developed features and system modifications.
- Support mid-shift or night-shift operations to ensure 24/7 system availability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in AS/400 (IBM i) development.
- Advanced proficiency in RPG IV (ILE) and Free-form RPG.
- Strong understanding of CL (Control Language) and DB2/400 database management.
- Experience with SQL for i and modernizing green-screen applications is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and adhere to strict project deadlines.
- Must be willing to work on a mid or night shift schedule.
