Responsibility
- Provide Level 2/3 production support for Murex and associated Global Markets applications, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Investigate and resolve complex technical issues, including trade lifecycle failures, pricing discrepancies, and risk calculation errors.
- Collaborate with development, trading, and operations teams to implement fixes, enhancements, and system upgrades.
- Monitor system health, proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks before they impact business operations.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts (Python, Shell, or SQL) to streamline support processes and reduce manual intervention.
- Document incident reports, root cause analyses, and knowledge base articles to improve team efficiency and knowledge sharing.
- Participate in on-call rotations, providing 24/7 coverage for critical trading systems during market hours.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, Murex updates, and emerging technologies to recommend best practices and innovations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in application support, preferably within investment banking or capital markets.
- Hands-on experience with Murex MX.3 (or similar trading/risk management platforms) is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Unix/Linux, and scripting languages (Python, Bash, Perl).
- Familiarity with financial instruments (FX, Fixed Income, Derivatives) and trade lifecycle management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure in a time-sensitive environment.
- Strong communication skills to liaise with traders, quants, and IT teams across global locations.
- Certifications in Murex, ITIL, or financial markets (e.g., FRM, CFA) are a plus.
