Responsibility
- Process and verify accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Reconcile vendor statements, resolve discrepancies, and maintain up-to-date records in the accounting system.
- Apply cash receipts to customer accounts, match payments to invoices, and follow up on outstanding balances.
- Prepare and distribute customer invoices, credit memos, and monthly statements.
- Monitor aging reports, escalate overdue accounts, and collaborate with collections teams to minimize bad debt.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries and financial reporting.
- Support audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize cash flow management.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in AP/AR, cash applications, or general accounting roles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal) for collaborating with global teams.
- Experience with multi-currency transactions and international financial regulations is a plus.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.
- Certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or similar are advantageous but not required.
