Responsibility
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging animal behaviour presentations and educational programs for diverse audiences, including school groups, tourists, and conservation enthusiasts.
- Train and work with a variety of aquatic animals to perform behaviours that highlight their natural abilities and conservation stories.
- Lead guided tours and interactive experiences at River Wonders, ensuring visitors leave with a deeper appreciation for wildlife and conservation.
- Collaborate with animal care teams to monitor animal welfare and ensure all training and presentation activities align with ethical and humane standards.
- Create and update educational materials, scripts, and program content to reflect the latest conservation science and best practices in animal behaviour.
- Engage with visitors through Q&A sessions, workshops, and special events to foster a culture of conservation awareness and action.
- Assist in the development of new exhibits, programs, and initiatives that enhance visitor experiences and support conservation goals.
- Represent Mandai Wildlife Group at public events, media opportunities, and community outreach programs to promote wildlife conservation.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Zoology, Animal Behaviour, Marine Biology, Environmental Science, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in animal training, behaviour management, or wildlife education, preferably in a zoo, aquarium, or conservation setting.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
- Knowledge of positive reinforcement training techniques and ethical animal care practices.
- Passion for wildlife conservation and a commitment to educating the public about the importance of protecting biodiversity.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with animal care teams, educators, and conservationists.
- Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative and interactive educational programs.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin) are a plus.
