Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage import and export airfreight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to secure optimal routing, pricing, and compliance.
- Prepare and verify shipping documentation, including air waybills, commercial invoices, and customs declarations.
- Monitor shipment statuses, proactively resolving delays or discrepancies to maintain service excellence.
- Negotiate contracts and rates with carriers and vendors to maximize profitability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to international trade regulations, including IATA, DGR, and local customs requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, tracking shipments, and delivering real-time updates.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes, reduce bottlenecks, and enhance overall logistics performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in airfreight operations, import/export, or freight forwarding.
- Strong knowledge of IATA regulations, customs procedures, and incoterms.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Proficiency in freight management software (e.g., CargoWise, Kewill) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Bali’s logistics landscape and regional trade routes is advantageous.
