Responsibility
- Oversee and manage end-to-end airfreight import operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of shipments.
- Coordinate with airlines, customs brokers, and ground handling agents to facilitate smooth import procedures.
- Monitor shipment statuses, resolve any delays or issues, and provide real-time updates to clients.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including customs documentation and import/export laws.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing inquiries and providing exceptional customer service.
- Analyze operational performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Lead and mentor a team of customer service and logistics professionals, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Prepare and present reports on shipment statuses, performance metrics, and operational challenges.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in airfreight forwarding, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and international shipping standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to motivate and develop staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- Proficient in logistics software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
