Responsibility
- Coordinate and manage air freight shipments from origin to destination, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with airline and customs regulations.
- Prepare and verify export documentation, including air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs declarations.
- Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to secure optimal routing, pricing, and space allocation.
- Monitor shipment statuses, track delays, and proactively resolve issues to minimize disruptions.
- Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, expenses, and communications for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and offering real-time updates.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in air freight logistics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in air freight forwarding, export operations, or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, IATA standards, and customs procedures.
- Proficiency in freight management software (e.g., CargoWise, Kewill) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in documentation and data entry.
- Fluency in English; additional languages (e.g., Indonesian, Mandarin) are a plus.
