Based in the vibrant Bali region (Canggu/Badung), this role offers a blend of academic rigor and practical application, with opportunities to work on high-impact projects that bridge the gap between research and industry adoption.
Responsibility
- Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models for real-world applications in collaboration with industry partners and academic teams.
- Research and implement cutting-edge algorithms in computer vision, NLP, or reinforcement learning to solve complex problems.
- Optimize and scale AI systems for performance, efficiency, and scalability in production environments.
- Mentor and train local talent through AISG’s AI Apprenticeship Programme (AIAP), fostering the next generation of AI professionals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing workflows and systems.
- Stay abreast of emerging AI trends, tools, and frameworks, and evaluate their potential for adoption.
- Document technical processes, methodologies, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
- Participate in hackathons, workshops, and conferences to represent NTU and AISG’s AI initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in AI/ML development, with a strong portfolio of projects (e.g., GitHub, research papers).
- Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar frameworks for model development and deployment.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and big data tools (Spark, Hadoop).
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical AI solutions.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Passion for mentorship and contributing to the growth of the local AI ecosystem.
- Familiarity with MLOps, CI/CD pipelines, and model monitoring is advantageous.
