We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Executive to join our professional finance team in Johor Bahru. In this role, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our day-to-day accounting processes. As an Accounts Executive, you will manage a variety of essential financial tasks, including ledger maintenance, reporting, and supporting the broader management team with critical financial data. The ideal candidate will possess a strong grasp of accounting principles, an analytical mindset, and the ability to maintain high levels of integrity and confidentiality.
Responsibility
- Manage end-to-end Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoice processing and timely vendor payments.
- Oversee Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including billing, aging reports, and debt collection follow-ups.
- Perform daily data entry into the accounting system with high accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports and management statements.
- Support year-end audit preparations and collaborate with external stakeholders.
- Handle general administrative tasks and documentation to support the finance department.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, UBS, or similar ERP systems) is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Good command of both written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with an eye for detail and numerical accuracy.
