Responsibility
- Oversee and ensure compliance with BIR (Bureau of Internal Revenue) regulations and other financial reporting standards.
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audit processes, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Supervise the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other regulatory filings.
- Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Train and mentor accounting staff to maintain high standards of accuracy and professionalism.
- Monitor financial transactions and conduct regular reviews to identify discrepancies or areas for improvement.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders to resolve compliance issues.
- Prepare detailed reports for senior management on financial performance and compliance status.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of BIR regulations, tax compliance, and audit procedures.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and leadership abilities to manage teams and interact with stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with international financial reporting standards (IFRS) is an advantage.
