Responsibility
- Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring all invoices are accurately recorded and processed in a timely manner.
- Perform daily data entry of financial transactions into the accounting system with high attention to detail.
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies and maintain updated supplier records.
- Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs, including cheque and online banking transfers.
- Conduct regular reconciliation of vendor statements to ensure accuracy of ledger balances.
- Assist in month-end closing activities, including accruals, prepayments, and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and statutory requirements.
- Support the finance team in ad-hoc financial reporting and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable or general accounting role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Hands-on experience with popular accounting software (e.g., SQL, UBS, or SAP).
- Strong numerical aptitude and high level of accuracy in data entry.
- Good command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Must be willing to work on-site at our Batu Kawan facility.
