Responsibility
- Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Prepare and process journal entries, invoices, and expense reports accurately and promptly.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and analyses for management review.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are recorded correctly.
- Maintain proper documentation and filing for all financial records, ensuring audit readiness.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial discrepancies and improve processes.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitoring activities as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in an accounting role, preferably within the manufacturing sector (candidates from other industries with strong accounting fundamentals are also encouraged to apply).
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (MFRS/IFRS) and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a new, collaborative team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Johor Bahru, Malaysia.
