Responsibility
- Manage daily financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform daily reconciliation of hotel revenue, cash drops, and credit card settlements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, P&L statements, and budget forecasts.
- Oversee petty cash management and ensure all disbursements are properly documented and authorized.
- Coordinate with department heads to monitor operational expenses against budgeted targets.
- Ensure compliance with all local tax regulations, statutory requirements, and internal financial controls.
- Assist external and internal auditors during scheduled audits and inspections.
- Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc financial analysis and administrative tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL Accounting, UBS) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Malaysian financial reporting standards and tax requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with strict deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high degree of integrity.
- Excellent communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Able to work independently and as part of a dynamic hotel management team.
