TECHKEM GROUP is currently seeking a motivated and skilled Account Assistant to join our finance team in Puchong. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining the financial health of our organization by managing full sets of accounts and ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting.

We are looking for a hands-on individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a strong grasp of accounting principles. As our Account Assistant, you will be responsible for end-to-end financial operations, including cash flow monitoring, ledger maintenance, and supporting the management team with insightful financial data to drive business decisions. Responsibility

  • Handle daily financial operations and maintain accurate records of all transactions.
  • Manage full set of accounts, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, bank reconciliations, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure timely processing of payments and accurate recording of receipts.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports and year-end audit requirements.
  • Monitor and manage petty cash and office expenses efficiently.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, and relevant government authorities as required.
  • Support the finance department in ad-hoc financial projects and administrative duties.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related professional qualification (e.g., LCCI, ACCA, CAT).
  • Minimum 1-3 years of proven experience handling full sets of accounts.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SQL, UBS, or similar ERP systems) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of Malaysian accounting standards and taxation requirements.
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • A proactive attitude towards problem-solving and process improvement.
