As the Academic Director for our ESL program, you will oversee the development and implementation of curriculum, ensure compliance with international accreditation standards, and lead a team of dedicated educators. Responsibility
- Oversee the design, development, and evaluation of ESL curriculum in alignment with NEAS and MOHE standards.
- Lead and mentor a team of ESL instructors, providing professional development opportunities and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation requirements through regular audits, assessments, and quality assurance initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management to set academic goals, budgets, and resource allocation for the language center.
- Develop and implement student assessment frameworks to measure learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Foster partnerships with local and international institutions to enhance program visibility and student enrollment.
- Monitor industry trends in language education and integrate best practices into the curriculum.
- Represent the center at academic conferences, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in TESOL, Linguistics, Education, or a related field (PhD preferred).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in ESL teaching, with at least 3 years in academic leadership or curriculum development.
- Proven track record of managing accreditation processes (e.g., NEAS, CEA, or equivalent).
- Strong understanding of communicative language teaching (CLT) and modern ESL methodologies.
- Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Experience working in Southeast Asia or multicultural educational environments is a plus.
- Fluency in English (native or near-native proficiency); additional languages are advantageous.
- Familiarity with digital learning tools and LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Canvas).
