Responsibility
- Develop and deliver comprehensive mathematics lesson plans aligned with international curricula (e.g., IB, Cambridge, or American standards).
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and tailored support to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross-disciplinary learning opportunities, linking mathematics to real-world applications.
- Utilize innovative teaching methods, including technology and hands-on activities, to enhance student engagement.
- Prepare students for standardized tests and competitions, ensuring they achieve their full potential.
- Participate in professional development workshops and contribute to curriculum review and enhancement.
- Engage with parents and guardians through regular communication to discuss student progress and address concerns.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school or multicultural setting.
- Strong command of the English language, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with international curricula (IB, Cambridge, etc.) and modern teaching methodologies.
- Proven ability to differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Passion for mathematics education and a commitment to fostering a growth mindset in students.
- Experience with educational technology tools (e.g., digital whiteboards, learning management systems).
- Valid teaching certification or license (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or equivalent).
