Responsibility

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of aircraft engine components using precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  • Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure components meet strict aviation standards and tolerances.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
  • Identify and report defects, non-conformities, or deviations from specifications to the relevant engineering or production teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, production staff, and quality assurance, to resolve inspection-related issues and improve processes.
  • Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability in measurements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and industry regulations, including AS9100 and other aviation quality standards.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection techniques and workflow efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or equivalent certification in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in visual and dimensional inspection, preferably within the aviation or aerospace industry.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and CMMs.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and aviation quality standards (e.g., AS9100).
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze inspection data to identify trends or issues.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members and report findings.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a commitment to safety and quality.
