Responsibility
- Perform high-quality welding tasks using various techniques such as MIG, TIG, and Arc welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the appropriate welding methods and materials.
- Inspect and test welded surfaces and structures to ensure they meet industry standards and safety regulations.
- Maintain and repair mining equipment, structures, and machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to plan and execute welding projects efficiently.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Document work progress and report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder, preferably in the mining or construction industry.
- Certification in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, or Arc welding is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and regulations related to welding.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
