Responsibility
- Manage the full scope of corporate tax compliance, including filing of income tax returns, VAT, withholding taxes, and other regulatory requirements.
- Provide strategic oversight of tax reporting processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with IFRS and local accounting standards.
- Mentor and coach a team of tax professionals, driving performance and professional development.
- Serve as the primary liaison for tax audits, coordinating with regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.
- Stay current with changes in Philippine tax legislation and assess potential impacts on AIA’s financial strategy.
- Drive continuous improvement of tax reporting workflows through process automation and internal controls.
- Partner with regional tax teams to align local operations with global tax governance policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; CPA license is mandatory.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in tax compliance and reporting, preferably in a multinational corporation or Big 4 firm.
- Extensive knowledge of Philippine tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Proven track record in team leadership and talent development.
- Exceptional analytical skills with high proficiency in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
