Responsibility
- Lead or assist in sushi preparation, ensuring high-quality, authentic dishes that meet restaurant standards.
- Train and mentor junior staff on sushi techniques, food safety, and customer service best practices.
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, including inventory management, staff scheduling, and service flow.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a memorable dining experience for every guest.
- Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the management team to develop menus, promotions, and operational improvements.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally and efficiently.
- Monitor food costs and waste, optimizing resources without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sushi preparation (for Sushi Leader/Crew roles) or restaurant management (for Assistant Manager/Manager roles).
- Strong leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to motivate and guide staff.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fluent in English (additional Japanese language skills are a plus).
- Knowledge of Japanese cuisine, ingredients, and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP) is preferred.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
