Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Fiber Optic Cable Splicer, preferably with submarine or marine cable systems.
  • Certification in Fiber Optic Splicing (e.g., FOA CFOT, BICSI) or equivalent technical training.
  • Proven expertise in using fusion splicers, OTDRs, power meters, and other diagnostic tools.
  • Strong understanding of fiber optic cable construction, signal transmission, and loss budgets.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including offshore vessels or remote locations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail for high-precision tasks.
  • Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Indonesian) are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours, including emergency call-outs for cable repairs.
