Responsibility
- Design and analyze structural steel frameworks for commercial, residential, and industrial projects using industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla).
- Develop detailed drawings, specifications, and calculations to ensure compliance with safety codes (e.g., AISC, Eurocode) and project requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize steel structures for cost, durability, and constructability.
- Conduct site inspections and provide technical guidance to resolve structural challenges during construction.
- Prepare and review technical reports, risk assessments, and feasibility studies for steel components.
- Liaise with suppliers and fabricators to ensure timely procurement of high-quality steel materials.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and propose mitigation strategies.
- Stay updated on emerging trends in steel construction, sustainable materials, and digital modeling (BIM).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in structural steel design for construction projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Tekla Structures, or ETABS; familiarity with BIM is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of steel design codes (AISC, BS 5950, Eurocode 3) and local Indonesian regulations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills in English; knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is a bonus.
- PE (Professional Engineer) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
- Experience working on international projects or in Southeast Asia is preferred.
