Responsibility
- Perform welding operations using MIG, TIG, stick, or flux-cored welding techniques to fabricate, assemble, and repair metal structures and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements and ensure precision in all projects.
- Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects, ensure compliance with quality standards, and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain and operate welding equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
- Collaborate with team members, engineers, and project managers to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of work areas to ensure a safe and organized environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new welding techniques, and advancements in technology to enhance skills and productivity.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Welder, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role (experience in construction, manufacturing, or fabrication is a plus).
- Proficiency in MIG, TIG, stick, and/or flux-cored welding techniques, with the ability to work with various metals such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and welding symbols accurately.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and compliance with industry standards (e.g., OSHA, AWS).
- Physical stamina and strength to handle demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and working in various positions.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, precise work.
- Certification in welding (e.g., AWS, ASME) is highly desirable but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
