Responsibility
- Perform precision sheet metal repairs, modifications, and fabrications on aircraft structures, including fuselage, wings, and control surfaces.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals to ensure compliance with aviation standards.
- Inspect aircraft components for corrosion, cracks, or structural damage and recommend corrective actions.
- Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment, such as rivet guns, drills, and sheet metal brakes.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure all work meets FAA, EASA, and SIAEC standards.
- Document all maintenance activities in detailed logs and reports for regulatory compliance.
- Assist in emergency repairs and troubleshooting to minimize aircraft downtime.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace in accordance with industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sheet Metal Technician, preferably in the aviation or aerospace industry.
- Certification or training in sheet metal fabrication, aircraft maintenance, or a related field (e.g., FAA A&P license is a plus).
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance manuals.
- Strong knowledge of metalworking techniques, including cutting, bending, forming, and riveting.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality in high-stakes environments.
- Physical ability to perform tasks requiring standing, bending, lifting, and working in confined spaces.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) to communicate effectively with international teams.
