Responsibility
- Design, develop, and optimize high-voltage transmission lines and substations in compliance with national and international standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC).
- Conduct feasibility studies, load flow analysis, and system modeling to assess transmission network performance and reliability.
- Oversee construction, testing, and commissioning of transmission infrastructure, ensuring adherence to safety and quality protocols.
- Perform routine inspections, predictive maintenance, and fault diagnostics to minimize downtime and enhance system efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, electrical engineers, and field technicians, to execute projects on time and within budget.
- Develop and implement risk assessment and mitigation strategies for transmission assets, including environmental and operational risks.
- Prepare technical reports, schematics, and documentation for regulatory submissions, client presentations, and internal reviews.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies in power transmission, such as smart grids and renewable energy integration, and propose innovative solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorās degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, or a related field. Masterās degree is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in transmission line design, power system analysis, or substation engineering.
- Proficiency in ETAP, PSS/E, AutoCAD, or similar software for system modeling and design.
- Strong knowledge of high-voltage equipment (transformers, circuit breakers, switches) and protection systems (relays, SCADA).
- Familiarity with regulatory codes (e.g., PEC, NESC) and industry best practices for transmission infrastructure.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and project management skills with a track record of delivering complex projects.
- Certifications such as Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent are highly desirable.
- Fluency in English (written and verbal) and ability to work in multicultural teams.
