Responsibility
- Lead the origination and execution of reserve-based lending and other structured financing solutions for oil and gas clients.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and industry partners.
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis and risk assessments to structure deals that meet client needs and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transaction execution from inception to closure.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the oil and gas sector, aligning with Macquarie’s strategic goals.
- Prepare and present comprehensive financial proposals and reports to senior management and clients.
- Stay abreast of market trends, regulatory changes, and industry developments to inform financing strategies.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to the professional development of the finance team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in structured finance, investment banking, or corporate finance, with a focus on oil and gas.
- Proven track record in originating and executing complex financing transactions, including reserve-based lending.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and assess risk effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Deep understanding of the oil and gas industry, including market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and financing structures.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
