Responsibility
- Lead and supervise on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and timelines.
- Coordinate with architects, subcontractors, and stakeholders to align project execution with design and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and present detailed progress reports, risk assessments, and cost analyses to senior management.
- Manage resource allocation, including labor, materials, and equipment, to optimize efficiency and minimize waste.
- Enforce strict safety protocols and ensure all operations comply with local and international construction standards.
- Resolve technical challenges and conflicts on-site, leveraging problem-solving skills to maintain project momentum.
- Mentor junior engineers and site staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in site engineering, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
- Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, Primavera, MS Project) and tools for cost estimation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Certification in OSHA, PMP, or similar safety and project management standards is highly desirable.
- Ability to work under pressure, adapt to dynamic environments, and travel to multiple sites as required.
