Responsibility
- Define and execute a multi-year roadmap for Agentic Safety across Google's app ecosystem, balancing innovation with security imperatives
- Lead cross-functional teams (AI researchers, security engineers, legal/compliance) to develop and implement safety frameworks for autonomous AI agents
- Design and operationalize risk assessment models to identify and mitigate potential AI misuse scenarios before deployment
- Collaborate with Google's Trust & Safety teams to establish global safety standards for AI-powered products and services
- Drive product requirements for safety-critical AI features, ensuring alignment with Google's AI Principles and emerging regulations
- Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of safety protocols and communicate progress to executive leadership
- Represent Google in industry forums, working groups, and with regulators to shape the future of AI safety standards
- Mentor junior product managers and engineers on best practices for secure AI product development
Qualifications
- 8+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on AI, security, or risk mitigation products
- Proven track record of shipping complex technical products at scale, preferably in AI/ML or cybersecurity domains
- Strong technical foundation with understanding of AI/ML systems, security protocols, and risk assessment methodologies
- Experience navigating regulatory landscapes (e.g., GDPR, AI Act) and translating compliance requirements into product features
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with ability to influence executives and technical teams alike
- Familiarity with Google's AI Principles or similar ethical AI frameworks
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to distill complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's or PhD preferred)
