Responsibility
- Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on systems, networks, and applications to identify security weaknesses.
- Develop and execute customized security assessment plans tailored to client requirements.
- Perform vulnerability scanning, exploit development, and post-exploitation analysis using industry-standard tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nessus).
- Document and report findings with detailed technical and executive summaries, including remediation recommendations.
- Collaborate with development and IT teams to implement security best practices and fix identified vulnerabilities.
- Stay updated on emerging threats, zero-day vulnerabilities, and new attack vectors to proactively enhance security measures.
- Assist in security awareness training for employees and stakeholders to promote a security-conscious culture.
- Participate in red team/blue team exercises to simulate and defend against cyber attacks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in penetration testing, ethical hacking, or cybersecurity roles.
- Proficiency in penetration testing tools (e.g., Kali Linux, Nmap, Wireshark, OWASP ZAP).
- Strong understanding of network protocols, web application security, and secure coding practices.
- Relevant certifications such as CEH, OSCP, CISSP, or CompTIA Security+ are highly preferred.
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation and exploit development.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to articulate complex security issues.
- Ability to work independently and in a team, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
