Responsibility
- Design and develop high-speed, multi-layer PCB layouts using industry-standard tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, KiCad).
- Collaborate with electrical engineers to translate schematics into optimized, manufacturable PCB designs.
- Ensure compliance with IPC standards, EMI/EMC requirements, and DFM (Design for Manufacturability) guidelines.
- Perform signal integrity and power integrity analysis to minimize noise and crosstalk.
- Work closely with manufacturers to resolve fabrication and assembly issues and improve yield rates.
- Optimize PCB layouts for thermal management, cost efficiency, and miniaturization.
- Document design specifications, BOMs, and assembly drawings for production teams.
- Stay updated with emerging PCB technologies, materials, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in PCB layout design for high-speed digital, analog, or RF circuits.
- Proficiency in PCB design software (Altium Designer, OrCAD, PADS, or similar).
- Strong understanding of schematic capture, layer stack-up, and impedance control.
- Experience with HDI (High-Density Interconnect), flex/rigid-flex PCBs, and controlled impedance routing.
- Knowledge of EMC/EMI mitigation techniques and PCB testing methodologies.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes (e.g., SMT, through-hole, reflow soldering).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail in complex layouts.
