Responsibility
- Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade network infrastructures, including LAN/WAN, VPN, and wireless systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Implement and enforce cybersecurity policies, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection, to mitigate risks and prevent breaches.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify and remediate security gaps.
- Monitor network traffic and security logs using tools like Wireshark, SolarWinds, or Splunk to detect and respond to anomalies.
- Collaborate with DevOps and cloud teams to integrate secure SD-WAN, Zero Trust, or hybrid cloud solutions.
- Develop and document disaster recovery and business continuity plans for network and security systems.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and IT staff.
- Stay ahead of emerging threats and industry trends, recommending proactive upgrades to hardware/software.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a focus on security (CCNP, CISSP, or CEH certifications are a plus).
- Expertise in Cisco, Juniper, or Palo Alto networking devices, and familiarity with Fortinet, Check Point, or Azure/AWS security services.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, and subnetting, as well as encryption protocols (SSL/TLS, IPsec).
- Experience with network automation tools (Ansible, Python, or Terraform) and SIEM platforms (e.g., QRadar, Elastic).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex network and security incidents under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills in English to liaise with global clients and stakeholders.
- Proven track record of managing multi-site networks and compliance with standards like ISO 27001 or NIST.
