Responsibility
- Design, implement, and optimize physical network infrastructure, including data centers, fiber optics, and high-speed connectivity solutions.
- Collaborate with architecture and DevOps teams to integrate SDN and network automation into physical deployments.
- Lead the end-to-end deployment of network hardware, including routers, switches, and cabling systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network performance issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and capacity planning reports for scalability.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging network technologies (e.g., 400G, DWDM) to enhance infrastructure resilience.
- Work closely with vendors and internal stakeholders to procure and deploy high-quality networking equipment.
- Ensure security best practices are embedded in all physical network designs and implementations.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on physical infrastructure (e.g., fiber optics, copper cabling, data center networking).
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Juniper, or Arista hardware and network protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN).
- Proficiency in network design tools (e.g., Visio, NetBox) and automation scripts (Python, Ansible).
- Strong understanding of SDN, NFV, and network virtualization concepts.
- Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIE, or equivalent are highly preferred.
- Experience with high-availability and disaster recovery network architectures.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate with global teams.
