Cobden and Carter International is seeking a Senior Microsoft Fabric Architect/Consultant/Developer to lead the development of scalable data pipelines, analytics, and BI solutions with robust governance frameworks.

Responsibility
- Architect and deploy end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions, including data lakes, warehouses, and real-time analytics pipelines.
- Design and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Data Factory, Synapse Pipelines, and Spark for high-performance data processing.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and reports with DAX, Power Query, and DirectQuery for executive-level insights.
- Implement data governance, security, and compliance frameworks using Microsoft Purview and role-based access controls.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data models and KPIs.
- Monitor and optimize Fabric workloads for cost-efficiency, performance, and reliability.
- Mentor junior developers and provide best practices for Microsoft Fabric adoption.
- Stay ahead of Azure and Fabric updates, recommending innovative solutions to enhance data capabilities.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, BI, or analytics, with at least 2 years in Microsoft Fabric (or Azure Synapse, Power BI, Data Factory).
- Proven expertise in SQL, DAX, Power Query, and Spark (PySpark/Spark SQL).
- Hands-on experience with Delta Lake, OneLake, and Fabric Data Engineering.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security (RBAC, sensitivity labels), and compliance (GDPR, HIPAA).
- Certifications in Microsoft Fabric (e.g., DP-600, DP-500, PL-300) are a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) for Fabric deployments.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to bridge technical and business teams.
- Ability to work in a hybrid/remote setup with occasional travel to client sites.
