Responsibility
- Design and implement GIS solutions tailored for electric utility clients, optimizing spatial data management and analysis.
- Lead geospatial projects from conception to deployment, ensuring alignment with client needs and industry standards.
- Provide expert consultation on utility network modeling, outage management, and asset tracking using Esri's ArcGIS platform.
- Develop custom GIS applications and dashboards to enhance operational efficiency for utility providers.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to empower clients with GIS best practices and tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS with IoT, AI, and smart grid technologies.
- Analyze spatial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for electric utility optimization.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and advocate for innovative geospatial solutions in the energy sector.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in GIS, with a focus on electric utilities or energy sectors.
- Proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online).
- Strong knowledge of utility network management, spatial analysis, and geodatabase design.
- Experience with Python, SQL, or other scripting languages for GIS automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Strong communication and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Certification in Esri GIS (e.g., ArcGIS Desktop, Enterprise Administration) is a plus.
