Responsibility
- Develop and design fire protection systems (sprinkler, suppression, alarm, and detection) in compliance with AS 2118/1670 and local regulations.
- Create detailed drawings, schematics, and BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD for construction and approval purposes.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations and system sizing to ensure optimal performance and code compliance.
- Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and MEP teams to integrate fire safety solutions seamlessly into project designs.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and as-built documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Perform site inspections and coordinate with contractors to ensure proper installation of fire protection systems.
- Stay updated on industry standards, new technologies, and best practices in fire safety engineering.
- Provide technical support and guidance to junior designers and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fire services design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in Revit (MEP), AutoCAD, and hydraulic calculation software (e.g., HydraCAD, Pipe-Flo).
- In-depth knowledge of AS 2118 (Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems) and AS 1670 (Fire Detection, Warning, Control, and Intercom Systems).
- Experience with NFPA standards (e.g., NFPA 13, 72) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities to liaise with clients, consultants, and authorities.
- Willingness to relocate to Bali (relocation assistance provided for non-local candidates).
