Responsibility
- Design, implement, and manage cybersecurity frameworks for healthcare clients, ensuring compliance with HIPAA, GDPR, and local regulations (e.g., PDPA).
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analyses to identify and mitigate security threats.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and best practices for healthcare IT systems, including EHR (Electronic Health Records) and IoT medical devices.
- Lead incident response efforts, including forensic investigations, containment, and recovery from cybersecurity breaches.
- Collaborate with IT, compliance, and clinical teams to integrate security measures into healthcare workflows without disrupting operations.
- Monitor security alerts and logs using SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar) to detect and respond to anomalies in real time.
- Provide cybersecurity training and awareness programs for healthcare staff to reduce human-related risks (e.g., phishing, social engineering).
- Stay ahead of emerging threats by researching new attack vectors, tools, and industry trends, and recommend proactive security enhancements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in healthcare or a regulated industry (e.g., finance, government).
- Proven expertise in HIPAA, GDPR, PDPA, or other healthcare compliance standards.
- Hands-on experience with SIEM tools (Splunk, IBM QRadar), firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and encryption technologies.
- Proficiency in penetration testing, vulnerability scanning, and ethical hacking (e.g., Metasploit, Nessus, Burp Suite).
- Strong knowledge of network security, cloud security (AWS/Azure), and secure coding practices.
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+, or HCISPP are highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
