Responsibility
- Lead and supervise the credit control team to ensure timely collection of outstanding receivables and minimize bad debts.
- Develop and implement effective credit policies, procedures, and risk assessment frameworks tailored to the transportation and infrastructure sectors.
- Monitor and analyze aging reports, identifying trends and proactively addressing overdue accounts with strategic follow-up actions.
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and legal teams to resolve disputes, negotiate payment plans, and escalate high-risk accounts when necessary.
- Prepare and present monthly credit reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, risks, and recommendations for improvement.
- Conduct credit evaluations for new and existing clients, setting appropriate credit limits based on financial health and payment history.
- Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, as well as company policies and industry best practices.
- Leverage data analytics tools to forecast cash flow, optimize collection strategies, and enhance decision-making processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, or ACCA) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or financial risk management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role.
- Proven track record in reducing DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and improving collection rates in a corporate or multinational environment.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros).
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and internal teams across diverse cultures.
- In-depth knowledge of credit risk assessment, financial statement analysis, and local/regional debt collection laws.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, including team mentoring, performance management, and process optimization.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia is highly advantageous.
