Responsibility
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure for ByteDanceâs global platforms, including storage, computing, and database systems.
- Implement automation tools and CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment, monitoring, and incident response.
- Optimize system performance, latency, and cost-efficiency through data-driven analysis and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to ensure seamless integration and adherence to SRE best practices.
- Develop and maintain observability frameworks (metrics, logging, tracing) to proactively detect and resolve issues.
- Lead incident management, conduct post-mortems, and drive preventive measures to minimize downtime.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging cloud technologies (Kubernetes, Terraform, Prometheus, etc.) to enhance infrastructure resilience.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Backend Development, SRE, or Cloud Engineering, with a focus on large-scale distributed systems.
- Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Deep understanding of Linux systems, networking, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi.
- Expertise in monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, OpenTelemetry).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug complex performance and reliability issues.
- Experience with database systems (SQL/NoSQL) and caching solutions (Redis, Memcached).
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to work across global teams.
