Responsibility
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with Australian accounting standards (AASB).
- Manage tax compliance, including GST, BAS, and income tax returns for Australian clients.
- Conduct financial audits and ensure adherence to regulatory requirements.
- Provide tax advisory services and strategic financial recommendations to clients.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Reconcile complex accounts and resolve discrepancies with precision.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for client portfolios.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and industry trends to ensure best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CA qualification preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on Australian tax compliance.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong knowledge of Australian tax laws, GAAP, and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with minimal supervision.
- Experience in a Big Four firm or similar high-pressure environment is a plus.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and deadlines.
