Responsibility
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections in accordance with Australian accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets for Australian clients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in tax preparation and compliance activities, including GST/VAT filings and other regulatory submissions.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations for financial transactions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a strong preference for candidates with Australian accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards (AASB) and tax regulations (ATO).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting and data analysis.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with multi-currency transactions and international accounting is a plus.
