Responsibility
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Australian Accounting Standards (AASB).
- Ensure accurate and timely GST, BAS, and tax lodgements with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).
- Manage payroll processing and superannuation reporting for Australian clients.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide strategic recommendations to optimize fiscal performance.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliations and vendor management.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on changes in Australian tax laws and regulations to ensure full compliance.
- Assist in audit preparations and liaise with external auditors as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CA qualification is a plus.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2 years specializing in Australian accounting standards.
- Proficient in Xero, MYOB, or QuickBooks (Australian versions preferred).
- Strong knowledge of AU GAAP, GST, BAS, and ATO compliance requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Experience working with remote or international clients is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting with a reliable internet connection.
- Familiarity with cloud-based accounting software and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Zoom).
