Responsibility
- Manage and maintain web-based clinical databases for the Department of Urology, ensuring accuracy and completeness of data.
- Abstract, compile, and analyze clinical data from patient records, research studies, and other sources.
- Collaborate with urologists, researchers, and data analysts to support ongoing and new research projects.
- Develop and implement data collection tools, including electronic case report forms (eCRFs) and surveys.
- Ensure compliance with data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and institutional review board (IRB) requirements.
- Generate reports, visualizations, and summaries of research findings for presentations and publications.
- Assist in the preparation of grant proposals, ethical submissions, and progress reports for funding bodies.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in urological research and data management best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Public Health, Biostatistics, Medicine, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical research, data management, or a similar role, preferably in a hospital or academic setting.
- Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., REDCap, SQL, Excel) and statistical software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex clinical data and generate actionable insights.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English for report writing and team collaboration.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, particularly in urology, is a plus.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Knowledge of research ethics, IRB processes, and data privacy laws is highly desirable.
