Responsibility
- Assist in designing, conducting, and analyzing marine research projects under the guidance of senior researchers.
- Collect and process field data, including water samples, marine biodiversity surveys, and environmental parameters.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and scientific publications based on research findings.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for marine conservation challenges.
- Maintain and calibrate laboratory and field equipment to ensure accurate data collection.
- Support grant writing and funding proposals to secure resources for ongoing and future research initiatives.
- Engage with local communities and stakeholders to promote sustainable marine practices.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in marine science and incorporate best practices into research activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelorâs or Masterâs degree in Marine Science, Environmental Science, Biology, Oceanography, or a related field.
- Proven experience in marine research, fieldwork, or laboratory analysis (internships or academic projects count).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SPSS, or MATLAB).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to present complex findings clearly.
- Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining productivity and collaboration.
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., QGIS, ArcGIS) and remote sensing tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with marine conservation policies and sustainable development goals (SDGs) is advantageous.
- Passion for marine ecosystems and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
