Responsibility
- Conduct rigorous quality control tests on raw materials and finished wood products to ensure compliance with industry and company standards.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including moisture meters, hardness testers, and spectral analyzers.
- Document and analyze test results, preparing detailed reports for management and production teams.
- Identify defects or inconsistencies in wood products and recommend corrective actions to improve quality.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement quality improvement initiatives and troubleshoot manufacturing issues.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and laboratory procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
- Calibrate and validate testing equipment to guarantee accuracy and reliability of results.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new testing methodologies, and regulatory requirements related to wood product quality.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Material Science, Wood Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in quality control, preferably in wood, furniture, or manufacturing industries.
- Strong knowledge of wood properties, treatment processes, and quality testing standards (e.g., ASTM, ISO).
- Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and data analysis software.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to interpret test data accurately.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a laboratory setting.
- Strong communication skills in English and Indonesian to liaise with cross-functional teams.
