Responsibility

  • Perform chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished medical devices to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory standards.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectrophotometers, ensuring accurate and reliable test results.
  • Document and analyze test data, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to the quality assurance team and management.
  • Assist in the development and validation of new testing methods and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy in quality control processes.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), ISO 13485, and other relevant regulatory requirements for medical devices.
  • Collaborate with production, R&D, and regulatory teams to investigate and resolve quality issues, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in testing methodologies, and changes in regulatory standards to ensure continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a quality control laboratory, preferably in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology industry.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and techniques, such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and wet chemistry methods.
  • Strong understanding of GMP, ISO 13485, and other regulatory standards applicable to medical devices.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using software such as LIMS, Excel, or Minitab.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to interpret complex technical data.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings clearly to cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certification in Quality Control or Regulatory Affairs (e.g., ASQ CQT, RAC) is a plus.
