Responsibility
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to standardized recipes and special dietary requirements.
- Ensure all food items are fresh, properly stored, and meet hygiene and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain efficient workflow during peak service hours.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies to avoid shortages.
- Follow food safety and sanitation protocols, including proper handling, storage, and disposal of ingredients.
- Adapt recipes and presentations based on seasonal ingredients and customer feedback.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free kitchen environment at all times.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Cook or Chef in a professional kitchen (minimum 2 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP) is a plus.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items (up to 20 kg).
- Flexibility to work morning or night shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills in English.
